Creativity, impact, and emerging leadership recognised.

Greg Fairley, Go-To-Market (GTM) Campaign Manager at multi-award-winning global B2B marketing agency Fifth Ring, has been shortlisted for a Northern Star Business Award 2026 in the Rising Star category - recognising the next generation of business leaders in the north-east.

The agency, which has offices in Aberdeen, Singapore, and Houston, is celebrating Greg’s nomination following a rapid professional rise marked by standout delivery, growing leadership responsibilities, and a significant impact on Fifth Ring’s international GTM offering.

In just under four years at the agency, Greg has progressed from PR Intern to leading GTM campaigns across Europe and the Americas. His current role has effectively been shaped around the breadth and depth of responsibility he has taken on - reflecting the confidence clients and colleagues place in him.

He is often the first point of contact for major accounts, trusted not only to execute high-performing campaigns but to define the commercial and strategic direction behind them. His determined approach has helped elevate client outcomes while strengthening Fifth Ring’s reputation for insight-led GTM strategy.

A key driver of his Rising Star nomination is his leadership in advancing Fifth Ring’s HubSpot partnership and wider marketing technology proposition. HubSpot is a customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation platform that helps businesses manage leads, campaigns, and customer communications in one place. Despite being relatively early in his career, Greg was selected to represent Fifth Ring at HubSpot’s flagship events in San Francisco and Dublin where he positioned Fifth Ring as a high-value partner in the global HubSpot ecosystem.

Internally, Greg has driven the integration of HubSpot-powered strategy across client delivery, aligning creative, content, and client services teams around shared objectives and performance insights. His ability to translate data into clear GTM decisions has improved campaign efficiency and strengthened results for clients across regions.

His impact is both cultural and measurable, and his leadership extends across Fifth Ring’s global footprint. With much of the campaign team based in Singapore, he has become an anchor point in Europe and the Americas, mentoring colleagues, bridging cross-office delivery, and line-managing a Campaign Executive he hired.

Jennifer Maclennan, Group Managing Director at Fifth Ring, said: “Greg’s shortlisting is a brilliant recognition of both his individual growth and the impact he’s already having on our clients and our GTM offer. He combines rigour, creativity, and calm leadership beyond his years, and we’re incredibly proud to see his talent acknowledged on such a respected platform.”

Just last month, Greg secured a place on the Aberdeen Young Professionals’ 30 Under 30 list, further highlighting his rare ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Winners of the Northern Star Business Awards 2026 will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 17 April 2026 at P&J Live in Aberdeen.
