Fifth Ring provides public relations, media relations and emergency response services to B2B companies across the globe. This role adds to the team to serve a growing international customer base.

We help our clients address these challenges and harness these opportunities by helping them tell relevant and impactful stories that help grow their business.

Responsibilities

Client

  • Immerse in client businesses to develop deep understanding of their unique place in their industry
  • Identify and develop story angles that can attract earned media coverage
  • Support the delivery of impactful communications campaigns for clients across the world
  • Devise and execute media and public relations plans that promote key company initiatives and messages as part of a wider campaign
  • Monitor, shape and coordinate contribution to social media strategies and channels
  • Seek earned opportunities to profile key leaders and subject matter experts in alignment with business objectives (e.g. proactive press releases, technical features, editorials, podcasts)
  • Constantly build new media relationships and nurture existing ones across traditional and new platforms, and develop strong, trusting relationships with reporters across key verticals
  • Develop various types of content ranging from press releases and thought leadership articles to social posts and blogs as required
  • Provide advice and counsel to client relating to media and public relations
  • Work with the creative team to develop impactful creative concepts to bring client ideas to life
  • Support with reputation issues as well as emergency response processes

Company

  • Join the on-call emergency response team on a rota basis within three months of joining the company
  • Act as a robust defender of the agency’s values, people and commercial interests
  • Provide the business development team with relative support as required, contributing to proposals and pitches
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness and impact of our work
  • Work with business development and client services teams to own and produce new business proposals as requested to ensure the transition from pitch to activation is seamless when the work is won
  • Support Fifth Ring’s marketing activities as necessary

Colleague

  • Cultivate and rely on extensive informal networks inside and outside the agency to solve problems
  • Work effectively with the Traffic Manager to ensure client requirements are being met
  • Manage assigned support staff as appropriate and assist in their professional development
  • Support colleagues in all Fifth Ring locations through proactive creativity and visibility. Other duties as appropriate and as assigned.
