The marketing director is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of marketing and brand management activities for Fifth Ring globally and regionally. The individual will partner with internal stakeholders on the execution of various marketing deliverables. Responsibilities will also include strategic involvement in the business development and reputation management process to support the elevation of credentials of the company.

The Ideal Candidate
Responsibilities
Essential:
Proficient B2B marketing communications, with experience preferably from an agency setting
Portfolio of brand-building projects, ideally for B2B clients
Presentation skills experience, both written and in person as well as executive facilitation skills
A proven consultancy headset: a deep interest in data gathering, interpretation, analysis and presentation, at all levels
A visibility capability: the skills to turn raw data into meaningful insights, whether written, verbal or other, complete with supporting evidence
A creative bent: the imagination and skills to draft briefs that wholly and accurately reflect the agreed positioning to get the very best out of the creative teams, …
… together with the professional need / desire to see the thinking become visible
Effective customer and stakeholder relationship management skills, including active listening, meticulous attention to detail, troubleshooting and proactively management of relationships
Willingness to serve as an ambassador for the Fifth Ring business and be visible within the geography they work and internationally as appropriate
An ability to manage, develop and grow client relationships, based on the “Trusted Advisor” status for the purpose of retention and growth of the client base
A thorough knowledge of the digital landscape and the relationship between “building brands” and “selling stuff”
A commitment to adhere to predictable delivery schedules
The confident ability to respectfully challenge both clients and colleagues when necessary, maintain composure under adversity and exercise independent and fair consensus-building skills when conflict arises
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Bachelors’ Degree qualified (ideally in strategy, communications, public relations, marketing communications, business management, psychology or a related subject)
Masters’ Degree qualified, in associated fields
Desirable:
Project management experience
Content marketing experience
Relevant target industry knowledge, including but not limited to energy, technology, and manufacturing
Agency experience
