Fifth Ring, the international B2B marketing specialist, has been named a finalist in two categories at the Energy Industries Council (EIC) World Energy Supply Chain Awards (WESCAs) 2025 for their work delivering optimisation services and solutions.

The shortlist recognises Fifth Ring’s development of Predictive Revenue, a methodology designed to connect marketing directly to measurable commercial outcomes. By aligning sales, marketing and leadership around a single view of the pipeline, Predictive Revenue transforms marketing from a cost centre into a data-driven growth engine.

A leading marketing agency in the energy supply chain

The WESCAs showcase the best in the energy supply chain, from engineering firms and service companies to technology providers. To see a marketing agency listed alongside these names in categories such as Optimisation and Service & Solutions is unusual. But it reflects the evolving needs of the sector.

Energy companies are under pressure to optimise performance, prove value, and achieve resilience in unpredictable markets. Predictive Revenue answers those challenges by giving leaders clarity on what drives pipeline growth and how to allocate resources effectively. That is why a marketing agency finds itself shoulder to shoulder with engineering, logistics and technology innovators.

The Impact of Predictive Revenue

Initially built to strengthen Fifth Ring’s own processes, Predictive Revenue was refined and launched as a client service in early 2024. Since then, it has significantly added to Fifth Ring’s tender pipeline, helped deliver a record EBITDA in 2024, and positioned the agency for growth.

Clients have seen the difference too. One case study included in the submission highlighted how Predictive Revenue helped a client rebuild its HubSpot environment from scratch. Disconnected deals, missing reporting and broken visibility were replaced with a system that aligns directly to the way the business sells. The result was a clear view of input versus outcome, enabling smarter decisions, measurable growth and long-term account-based strategies.

Recognition for Optimisation and Service

For the judges, Predictive Revenue demonstrated clear value across two categories:

  1. Optimisation: streamlining and improving commercial processes, shifting the conversation from marketing outputs to revenue outcomes.
  2. Service & Solutions: solving a real industry problem by giving companies the tools to understand, forecast and grow with greater predictability.

Ian Ord, Founder and CEO of Fifth Ring, said: “Our clients don’t want marketing for its own sake. They want measurable growth, consistent performance, and confidence in their pipeline. That’s the role marketing must play in the energy sector, and that’s why we’ve been shortlisted alongside some of the biggest names in the supply chain.”

Jennifer Maclennan, Managing Director, added: “This recognition highlights the ambition of our team and the trust our clients place in us. Predictive Revenue represents a shift in how companies approach growth. By aligning marketing with sales and leadership, we’ve created a model that makes marketing commercially accountable, and that’s something the industry has been waiting for.”

Looking Ahead

The winners will be announced on 9 October 2025 at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square. Fifth Ring will be represented at the awards by CEO Ian Ord, who will join finalists from across the global energy supply chain for a night that celebrates innovation, resilience and excellence.

For Fifth Ring, the shortlist is more than an honour. It is a sign that the energy sector values marketing not only as a communications tool, but as a driver of optimisation, service and measurable commercial success.
