Job title: Business Development Manager

The Ideal Candidate

  • You have strong commercial acumen and can uncover client opportunities where marketing and business challenges can be addressed with marketing communications solutions
  • You are an excellent team player and can work effectively with internal team and external client-side for a successful win-win outcome
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and take direct ownership of revenue performance and business results
  • You have a good track record of sales revenue generation and client satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Fifth Ring CEO and Singapore team lead in identifying networking and new business opportunities in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region
  • Attend networking sessions and events locally and regionally
  • Manage the full cycle of new business process from prospecting to close
  • Collaborate with internal resources and lead the development of strategic and creative proposals to sell in to client
  • Strong focus on selling to new/prospective clients
  • Nurture accounts to drive organic revenue growth through development planning
  • Scope and develop creative campaign proposals that achieve client marketing and communications objectives
  • Keep abreast of latest news and trends in the marketing and communications space
  • Any other duties that may be assigned that are compatible with skills and experience

Skills and Experience

  • Highly motivated self-starter, thrive in performance-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and also work well in a team environment
  • Confident and pro-active with a positive attitude
  • Good networking skills with the ability to establish positive first impressions
  • Quick thinking in identifying opportunities for client challenges
  • Ability to strategise plan in identifying and garnering new business leads
  • Good business acumen
  • Skilled in developing new business proposals
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience in account servicing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Passionate about marketing and communications
  • Degree or Diploma in related fields
  • Oil & gas and B2B knowledge or experience is a plus
