Business Development Manager

Fifth Ring is an award-winning marketing communications agency specializing in the B2B sector. The UK-based company was founded by a group of passionate marketers in 1991, and has offices in Scotland, America and Singapore, as well as strong partners around the world.

As part of our expansion plan in the Americas, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to work alongside our regional team based in Houston to identify and strengthen opportunities in the market.

Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will have strong commercial acumen and can uncover client opportunities with marketing and business challenges that can be addressed with marketing communications solutions
  • You are an excellent team player and can work effectively with internal and client teams to produce successful win-win outcomes
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and take direct ownership of revenue performance and business results
  • You have a good track record of revenue generation and client satisfaction
  • You have a strong background and understanding of modern B2B marketing.
  • You can demonstrate your ability to conduct consultative and conversational selling
  • You are curious by nature and love immersing yourself in client’s business to solve complex problems with creative solutions
  • You should have an extensive network in the energy sector across the US and around the world
  • You have the ability and willingness to discuss complex B2B marketing solutions to “C” suite audiences
  • You are willing to listen for needs and opportunities without jumping to a quick solution that is not strategic or aligned with the organization. Establish trust to become a trusted advisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Regional Director of the Americas team in identifying networking and new business opportunities.
  • Attend networking sessions and events locally and regionally
  • Manage the full cycle of new business process from prospecting to close
  • Collaborate with internal resources across global teams and lead the development of strategic and creative proposals to sell in to client
  • Strong focus on marketing to new/prospective clients
  • Scope and develop proposals that achieve client marketing and communications objectives
  • Keep abreast of latest news and trends in the marketing and communications space and those of our chosen verticals
  • Updating our CRM system
  • Work in tandem with our marketing team to identify high end opportunities
  • Create significant growth in both opportunity and converted revenues
  • You will manage end to end sales processes for large enterprise partners, including qualifying leads, presenting proposals, negotiating terms, developing commercial offers, finalizing contracts and closing deals
  • Any other duties that may be assigned that are compatible with skills and experience

  • B2B experience
  • Industry knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A well-developed network of industry professionals
