Account Executive, PR and Social Media

Job Purpose

Working with colleagues and suppliers to develop and deliver impactful PR and social media plans that have real and measurable effects on clients' businesses. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Formal qualification in communications, marketing, journalism or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in a communications and/or social media role
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Effective writing skills
  • Able to churn our engaging social media content and interesting media angles
    Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator 

Responsibilities

Client 

  • Working with clients on a tactical basis in the running of accounts
  • Preparing a wide range of content to support client activities, including social media, digital content, press releases and byline articles
  • Supporting the team in the development of creative and dynamic ideas and recommendations for clients
  • Providing accurate and timely support and updates on client account activities including, contact reports, agendas, coverage reports and monthly reports
  • Liaising with relevant internal and external parties to prepare and maintain current public relations and social media planners
  • Undertaking industry and market research and highlight industry news where relevant to clients and the industries they are in
  • Building effective media relationships
  • Pitching articles and press releases to media outlets and organising media meets and interviews with journalists and editors

  • Sourcing and managing suppliers
  • Ensuring that products and services are delivered on time and within budget
  • Ensuring that all Fifth Ring systems and processes are adhered to at all times
  • Manage workload to ensure deliverables are delivered on time

Colleagues 

  • Providing support and updates on activities in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of client accounts
  • Engaging in regular communications with global Fifth Ring team members
  • Supporting colleagues in all Fifth Ring locations through proactive creativity, consultivity and visibility
