Fifth Ring Integrated Corporate Communications has been recognised as an industry leader at two prestigious international awards ceremonies, emerging with nine titles within a single week.
Judges of the coveted Hermes Creative Awards were impressed by the company’s work for clients Swire Oilfield Services and Oilcareers.com, awarding the firm Platinum prizes in the integrated marketing/company branding and integrated/event marketing categories for the respective campaigns. High-profile campaigns carried out on behalf of Tensar International and cancer charity Maggies saw Fifth Ring take away the Gold award in the Public Relations campaign and pro bono categories while an honourable mention was given in Pro Bono for work done on the YMCA’s We are Why initiative. Honourable mentions were also given for campaigns on behalf of CSL (integrated marketing campaign) and Total’s Shetland Gas Plant (internal communications campaign) from 2013 Hermes Creative Awards.
In the same week Fifth Ring also came out on top in another global awards ceremony – the Global ACE Awards which was held in New York. The company was handed awards in both the Out of Home Single Ad and Employee Brand Engagement categories. These awards were presented for the company’s work with clients Empower and Total respectively.
The company, which specialises in business-to-business (B2B) communications, was awarded the accolades in recognition of its work for clients throughout the world from its bases in Aberdeen, Houston, Dubai and Singapore.
Fifth Ring’s business development director Ian Ord said: “To be commended in awards that showcase the best in B2B throughout the world is a remarkable achievement. It is always rewarding to deliver campaigns that surpass the expectations of our clients, but to have those successes recognised by our peers is very gratifying indeed.
“These awards are a clear indication of the talent which exists throughout our network of offices and are further testament to our integration across regions, including our Dubai, Houston, Singapore and Aberdeen offices. By allowing our teams to work collaboratively across geographical boundaries we are able to provide unrivalled results for our clients.”
The BMA Global Ace Awards Out of Home First place Trophy represents work carried out for leading district cooling services provider Empower in Dubai. Fifth Ring developed targeted, high impact outdoor advertising by wrapping an entire building in advertising to increase positive external perception of the brand.
Ord comments: “It is a honour to work alongside such forward-thinking, some may say bold, companies, and to be commended throughawards goes to show the high level of work that goes in from both our clients and experienced team.”
The Global ACE Awards from the Business Marketing Association of New York (BMA) celebrates best of international business marketing. The awards are designed to set industry standards for creative excellence whether in print or online.
The Hermes Creative Awards, which is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, is a global competition for creative professionals involved in traditional and emerging media. The competition is judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence, and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
These awards continue an exciting year for Fifth Ring, which completed the latest phase of its expansion with the opening of its Singapore office in January. In November, the company was also named Scotland’s top marketing company at the prestigious Marketing Industry Network Awards.
